Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
AI Newsletter Online ("we", "us", "the Service") is committed to protecting the privacy of the people who use our AI newsletter generator. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
When you use the Service without an account, we do not collect personal information. We temporarily store one flag in your browser's local storage to enforce the one-newsletter guest limit — no server-side record is created.
When you create an account, we collect the email address, name, and password you provide. When you generate a newsletter while signed in, we store the resulting newsletter in your account so you can find it later.
When you upgrade to a paid plan, our payment processor (PayPal) collects and processes your payment details. We never see or store your card or PayPal password. We do store a record of the transaction (order ID, amount, currency, timestamp, and payer email as provided by PayPal) for accounting and support.
2. How we use information
- To provide the generator and save your work.
- To recognise you across sessions.
- To send occasional service emails (password resets, receipts, important account notices).
- To detect abuse and enforce fair-use limits on the free tier.
- To improve the quality of the output through aggregate, non-identifying analysis.
3. URL fetching
When you paste a URL, our server fetches that page's publicly available HTML so the AI can generate a newsletter about it. We do not follow links, do not store the fetched page beyond the request lifetime, and do not attempt to access anything behind a login. Do not paste URLs to content you are not authorised to publish.
4. AI processing
Your prompts, pasted text, and fetched page contents are sent to a language-model provider to generate the newsletter. Providers may retain that data for a short period for safety purposes but do not train their base models on it. Do not paste secrets, personal medical or legal information, or content you would not want a third party to briefly process.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share the minimum necessary information with: our hosting provider, our database provider, our email provider (for transactional email), PayPal (for payments), and the AI model provider (for generation). Each of these acts as a processor under written terms.
6. Retention
Newsletters saved to your account are retained until you delete them or delete your account. Payment records are retained for seven years to comply with tax and accounting rules. Aggregate analytics are retained indefinitely.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time through our Contact page. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA respectively, including the right to object to processing and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
8. Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. No system is perfectly secure, but we take security seriously and will notify affected users promptly if a breach occurs.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We will post the date of the last update at the top of this page whenever we change this policy. Material changes will be announced by email to registered users.
